LOOKING AHEAD: PLANNING 2025
While I do not do as much geopolitical prediction, it’s good to understand the Astro-weather for 2025 for planning vacations, weddings, and times when challenges may be stronger in general. How this will specifically impact your chart will depend on how it interacts with your dashas or cycles, your natal chart placements, and a number of other factors like the impact of your country. Here is a quick guide to the major events of 2025.
SUMMARY: In general, early January and Feb. have the clearest energy, and then June-mid-July seem to be the most unafflicted time windows if you are looking to travel. Also, late September to mid-October have the least afflictions once we get through eclipse season in the first part of the month.
Of course, all of this is dependent on your personal dashas and natal chart positions. Here is a more detailed outlook. And of course there is always something happening so find away to smile and move through it.
SATURN:
Saturn stays in Aquarius until March 29, 2025. It moves into Purvabhadrapada Nakshatra (Aquarius 20-Pisces 3.20) Dec 28, 2024.
Saturn has been stronger than normal the last 4.5 years as it has been in its own signs and going into Pisces on March 29th until June 2, 2027 will soften it a bit as it will be associated with Jupiter by sign. It may bring down stress levels unless you are Pisces or Virgo Rising or Moon Signs.
Saturn transits impact Sade Sat so if your moon is in Purvabhardrapada (Aquarius 20-Pisces 3.20) it may impact your greatly with health and emotional crises and stress. If your moon is Bharani nakshatra (Aries 13.20-26.40) it will begin the most difficult put of Sade Sat when it impacts the mind most and causes mental agitation.
The problem this year is that Saturn will conjunct Rahu on April 17th and will have a strong influence from it March 29-April 30th when it is the same pada of Pisces 0-3.20 degrees. Saturn /Rahu conjunctions greatly increase fear and paranoia and increase the Vata element which can increase heatlh problems in that area. For the world, it also can increase anxiety and tension. The last time we had this conjunction it was at 26 Libra in Oct 2014.
Saturn goes retrograde this eyar from July 12-Nov. 27th 2025 and that is always a more intense time but it will be free from Rahu’s intense influence by late May when Rahu goes into Aquarius.
JUPITER:
Jupiter is in Taurus retrograde until Feb. 4th and then goes direct and goes into Gemini May 14-Oct. 11th and then into early Cancer until Dec. 3rd and then back into Gemini until June 2nd, 2026. Jupiter will be traveling in accelerated speed much of this year so it can be a bit more reckless with its expansive energies.
RAHU/KETU
Rahu moves into Aquarius and Ketu into Leo in the mean node system on May 19th and on May 29th in the true node system. The nodes move every 18 months and always cause major influences in our lives. Rahu in Aquarius will promote more revolutionary changes in the world and support technological development and advance biotech. Ketu is considered good in Leo but it may negative impact Leo rising as it eclipses the Sun’s ability to be seen and in the limelight but it will promote spiritual development.
Eclipses:
A total lunar eclipse is at 29.21 Leo on March 14th
A partial solar eclipse is at 14.5 Pisces on March 29th.
A total lunar eclipse is in Aquarius at 22 Aquarius on Sept. 7th
A partial solar eclipse is at 6 Virgo on Sept. 21st.
Eclipses are only significant if you are running Sun/Rahu, Sun/Ketu, Moon/Rahu or Moon/Ketu periods and if they hit key places in your natal chart.
VENUS:
Venus spends a large amount of time in Pisces this year between Jan. 27th and May 30th as it goes retrograde March 1-April 12th.
Venus is a sign of exaltation and supports relationship and artistic creativity but this year it is conjunct Rahu 3 times and Saturn so it may be more stressful but they are both friends and its impact will depend on your rising sign and key natal planets in Pisces.
MARS:
Mars is in Cancer until Jan. 21st and retrogrades Dec. 5, 2024 to Feb. 23, 2025.
It retrogrades into Gemini Jan. 21-Feb. 23rd and then leaves Gemini on April 2nd and finally gets into Leo on June 6th-July 28th.
Mars is conjuct Ketu in the mean node system on July 26th and in the true node system on July 21st. This conjunction usually increases violence and anger and it occurring in a fire sign. Again, not a great signature to have in our troubled world.
Mars goes into Scorpio on Oct. 28th for a return home.
MERCURY:
Mercury spends a great deal of time in its fallen sign of Pisces between Feb. 27th and May 6th and we have written about this before. It goes retrograde in Pisces this year March 15-April 7th and then retrogrades into Cancer July 17- August 11 and in Scorpio Nov. 9th and backs into Libra and goes direct in Libra no Nov. 29th.
